"Let the beauty of what you love be what you do." ~ Rumi ~
Spring is in the air here in Maui as evidenced by the Plein Air Festival that took place last week. This piece "Honolua Bay" was created by Greg Barnes, who I had the opportunity to meet last year while heading to the Mainland. He is the only artist that I have ever met who has painted (pastels) in Maui, Steamboat Springs, Colorado and Venice, Florida. I recognize the places that he brings to life in his work. I'm going to use his inspiration to design a custom order quillo using these colors.
Leave it to Rumi to remind us what this life is all about -- keep searching until you find it!
I've been working on special orders these past few weeks but couldn't resist reminding you that this would be the perfect quillo for the Pisces in your life. I call it "Psychedelic Phish."
This fabric is Kaffe Fassett and the brilliance of the colors will light up any room!
If you didn't get a chance to watch the video for the H'Art Project, I'd love to hear what you think. Joanne Green is a documentary filmmaker in British Columbia and will be submitting the final project to a Film Festival in April.
You can read more about Joanne's H'Art Project here.
Buy buying a quillo, you help spread the Aloha, since for every 10 quillos sold,
I will donate one to someone in need. For more information click here.
