Sew Some Good

Be the change you wish to see in the world. ~ Ghandi

My heart is full.

This week I sent out my first quillo to Debbie Massey as part of

the Spread the Aloha program.

spread the aloha

"Debbie is a caring and loving person whose mission in life is to save dogs that are trapped in puppy mills. She has saved literally hundreds of dogs over the years.

Debbie was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer over a year and a half ago. She has endured over a year and 3 months of chemotherapy with stoicism and strong faith. I'm sure you have other worthy candidates for a quillo, but I just wanted to let you know about Debbie."

After Debbie was selected to receive her quillo, I learned that not only was it her birthday, but she was just returning from the Mayo Clinic.

"Certainly, it's a marvelous birthday present but, given all the news from Mayo, it has lifted her spirits enormously! It's clearly a case of things happening for a reason, and she's a very happy and touched camper."

At Quiloha, for every 10 quillos sold, one quillo will be given to someone who is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment or suffering a tremendous loss in their lives. Did you know that chemotherapy gives you cold feet? By buying a quillo, you are playing a part in 'Spreading the Aloha"...one quillo at a time.
